Camps at Wild Dream Farms

More horses. More horsemanship. More time at the barn.

Wild Dream Farms camps give young equestrians the opportunity to experience more of barn life through riding, hands-on horsemanship, horse care, and equestrian activities. Designed for a range of experience levels, our camps combine education and fun while helping participants build confidence, independence, and a deeper understanding of the horse.

Ages 5+ • No prior riding experience required • Day & week-long options

DAY CAMPS

A full day of horses, horsemanship, and barn life.

WDF Day Camps give participants the opportunity to spend more time at the farm while learning what goes into caring for, handling, and riding horses. Campers take part in hands-on activities throughout the day, with a combination of riding, horsemanship education, horse care, and fun around the barn.

Activities vary from camp to camp and may include grooming and tacking, groundwork, riding, feeding and horse care, equine anatomy, tack and equipment, barn management, games, crafts, and other equestrian activities. Campers are grouped and activities are adapted as appropriate based on age and experience.

WEEK CAMPS

More time at the barn means more opportunities to learn, grow, and become part of the daily rhythm of WDF.

Week Camps give young equestrians a deeper, more immersive experience with horses and barn life. Throughout the week, campers build on skills introduced each day through riding, hands-on horsemanship, horse care, and equestrian activities designed to develop confidence, knowledge, and independence.

With multiple days to learn and practice, campers have the opportunity to become more involved in the care and handling of the horses, strengthen their riding skills, explore horsemanship topics in greater depth, and put what they've learned into practice throughout the week. Activities vary based on the group, horses, weather, and campers' experience, allowing each week to develop around the participants.

Whether a camper is brand new to horses or already spends time in the saddle, Week Camp offers the chance to experience more of what it means to be an equestrian—not just a rider.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE CAMP

WDF camps are full-day programs, so campers should come prepared for an active day at the farm.

Campers will spend time both indoors and outdoors and should arrive dressed appropriately for riding, working around horses, and participating in activities throughout the day.

WHAT TO WEAR

Campers should wear long pants, riding breeches, or riding tights for riding and closed-toe shoes or boots appropriate for being around horses. ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmets are required whenever mounted.

WHAT TO BRING

Campers should bring a packed lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle each day, along with sunscreen and any personal items they may need throughout the day. Please clearly label food, drinks, and personal belongings with the camper's name.

WEATHER & HORSE WELFARE

Camp activities may be adjusted based on weather, footing, and the needs of our horses. Riding is an important part of the WDF camp experience, but schedules and activities may change to ensure the safety and well-being of both horses and campers.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

No previous horse or riding experience is required. Camp activities and instruction are adapted to participants' experience, confidence, and abilities whenever possible.

SAFETY AT WDF

Campers are expected to follow WDF staff instructions and barn safety rules at all times. For the safety of our horses and guests, outside pets are not permitted on the property, and smoking and vaping are not permitted.
